A tryst with the outdoors

50-minutes from Darjeeling.

Camp Inaya offers you a tryst with the outdoors at a convenient distance from Darjeeling. A 50-minute drive from town, the camping site is located at the confluence of two streams, Ghattey and Rungdung, at the bottom of the Takdah Tea Estate.

Camp Inaya aims to give you a genuine camping experience while removing some of the rigours of campsites. The general landscape has been left untouched as far as possible with only the bare necessary additions made. Accommodation is in tents, but the toilets/bathrooms are permanent and have hot flowing water through a solar heater.

The food served is very simple, authentic local fare cooked over a wood fire. A campfire is lit in the evenings and barbecues can be arranged on request.

The campsite also features a small natural pool with a waterfall and, if you are ready to brave the chill, you can even take a dip.

Caution: Camping at Camp Inaya involves a short hike through an uphill path and is not recommended for the elderly, infants and those not used to walking on hilly terrain.

For a complete riverside camping experience, the suggested stay is a minimum of two nights.
